Need to hold the jar with both hands to get the lid off. Kind of inconvenient.These mason jar type containers are the perfect accent for use in my bathroom. The containers also come with black sticky labels with white print saying cotton balls and q-tips. You can choose to use them or not. Easy to remove lids. Look great!!I ordered 2 sets of these with Industrial Rewind soap dispensers (pictured with the jars) The soap dispensers are beautiful and exactly what the rest of my bathroom finishes in “oil rubbed bronze” look like. However, these jar lids do not look anything like the oil rubbed bronze of all my other bathroom hardware. In fact, each of the lids was a slightly different “bronze”. I ended up spray painting them with a “farmhouse black” and sanded them with steel wool to sort of achieve the look of all the other oil rubbed bronze hardware I have in my bathrooms. Definitely not a project I was expecting. The glass jars are nice and all, hence the 2 stars, but I took off 3 stars since I had to do my own finishing to achieve the “oil rubbed bronze” these claim to be.Nice jars - good quality and even come with nice labels you can put on if you choose. The only down side is the size. They are a bit small and due to their shape do not hold many cotton swabs. Cotton balls fit fine and seems to be an appropriate size. But with cotton swabs being one of the most used items in the bathroom, I foresee having to refill this often.
